Download Mega Man X ReGenesis 1.00.61

The creator's official Mega Man X ReGenesis itch page lists four current packages. Windows and macOS use ZIP archives, Android uses an APK, and Linux uses an x86_64 build. Choose the row that matches the device you plan to play on; do not use a repost or an old build from a search result.

Extract the Windows or macOS archive before launching it. Android may ask whether you want to install an APK downloaded outside its app store. Linux users may need to mark the game binary executable. Keep the old game folder until the new copy opens and your save is present.

Mega Man X ReGenesis Boss Order, Hadouken, and S-Rank guides

Mega Man X ReGenesis connects eight Maverick stages through two closed weapon loops, a full-game collection reward, and a four-category results system. The weakness route determines which weapon arrives next; the collection route builds the complete armor and unlocks Hadouken; the results route rewards speed, enemy coverage, low damage, and zero retries. Understanding all three turns separate stage clears into one coherent run.

Boss Order short answer

Rail Raccoon → Hydro Axolotl → Arson Vulpine → Bog Snapper, then Stellar Primate → Skyblade Squirrel → Subterra Scorpion → Tundrion Bear

Rail Raccoon and Stellar Primate are the two X-Buster openers. Every later fight in its loop uses the Special Weapon earned from the previous boss.

2 LOOPS

Mega Man X ReGenesis Boss Order

The Jolt Seeker loop moves through Hydro Breaker, Flare Burst, and Boulder Bouncer. The Comet Splitter loop moves through Wind Torrent, Sand Spreader, and Cryo Shard. This order also reveals the Forest Railway midair jump and Waterfall Caves air dash stages early.

FORTRESS 1

Mega Man X ReGenesis Hadouken

Collect all 8 armor upgrades, 8 Hearts, 4 E-Tanks, and 160 chips, then satisfy the Sigma Fortress 1 capsule condition. At full 32 HP with the standard X-Buster selected and X grounded, enter quarter-circle forward plus Shoot.

96–100

Mega Man X ReGenesis S-Rank

Every result starts with 20 base points, then awards up to 20 each for time, enemies, damage, and retries. S-Rank begins at 96, leaving only four points of total loss; zero retries and a balanced route matter more than speed alone.

Update

Check the version before replacing files

Version 1.00.61 adds jump and dash buffering, easier Hadouken input, new S-Rank targets, corrected completion percentage, Space Ride Armor double-tap dashing, and several controller, Seeker, ladder, and stage fixes.

Controls

Rebind actions, not secret buttons

Hadouken uses the normal movement and shoot actions. If you rebind the shoot key, the move still works because it checks the action, not one fixed keyboard key.

Before updating

Keep the old build and a dated copy of the complete save-data folder.

Mega Man X ReGenesis places one armor ability, one Heart upgrade, and twenty data chips in every Maverick stage. Turbine Facility, Frozen Ruins, Orbital Research Station, and Waterfall Caves also contain an E-Tank. Checking progress stage by stage is faster than searching the full campaign for one missing item.

The eight armor abilities change movement, defense, weapon charging, buster speed, and directional attacks. Midair jump and air dash have the broadest effect on a normal run because they improve exploration, recovery, and boss positioning at the same time.

Hadouken is the final complete-file reward. Once the collection reaches eight armor upgrades, eight Hearts, four E-Tanks, and 160 chips, the dedicated guide takes over with the Sigma Fortress 1 condition, zero-death shortcut, input, and troubleshooting.

A full item route is only one kind of completion. ReGenesis also has 27 achievements for story progress, secrets, full collection, Hadouken, no-death and no-upgrade runs, no-damage clears, and S-Ranks across the campaign stages. The wiki keeps the complete achievement list; the S-Rank page handles score targets and practice.
